Preparing to Transfer to Matoaca High School
When transferring to Matoaca, please bring the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunities for Military Families packet provided by your student’s previous school, if available.
To register:
Call (804) 590-3108 ext. 217 to schedule an appointment.
Bring all required documents, including withdrawal forms, records, and proof of residency.
Contact our registrar with any questions before your visit.
Preparing to Transfer Out of Matoaca High School
Before leaving, visit the School Counseling Office to complete the student withdrawal form.
On your student’s final day, please return:
Textbooks and Chromebooks
Athletic equipment and uniforms
Any other school-issued materials
If transferring overseas, contact the registrar at least one week prior to departure at (804) 590-3108 ext. 217 to prepare a sealed documentation packet for your student’s new school.
Academic Planning
Each student is assigned a school counselor who provides personalized academic and career guidance.
Counselors assist with course selection, graduation planning, and diploma pathways.

Transition Programs
To help students adjust and connect, Matoaca High School offers two specialized transition initiatives:
SPIRIT Mentors: Welcoming program for incoming freshmen.
Earn Your Stripes: Support system for mid-year transfer students.
College Support for Seniors
We partner with the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) to assist military-connected and first-generation college students.
An EOC representative provides:
College and scholarship guidance
FAFSA and financial aid support
Assistance with applications and transitions
Appointments are available throughout senior year.
